CUT CREASE Vintage-Inspired Summer Look

I have always wanted to create a look with contrasting colors, finally I did it by using red and orange. This color combination is one of my all-time-favorite and often I use it in my wardrobe as well.
BUT achieving successful make up look is more difficult than combining this two hues in clothing and accessories. WHY, you might ask. As make up art is mostly about blending and mixing shades, when working with opposite or contrasting colors, it is important to leave a distance between them. If you will mix them together, it will create a muddy, unclear effect which is exactly what everyone is trying to avoid.

The easiest way to combine the opposites is LIPS+EYES - you cannot go wrong as the distance is significant. :) But when it comes just to EYES, make sure that these two colors don't cover each other. Make it easier by adding a white or black boarder in between. For more ''advanced level'', try using a rainbow-effect by adding transition color that works with both shades.
First I really wanted to do a Pin-Up Sailor Girl inspired look but at the end I realized I don't even look close to anything like that. :) So, here I am, stuck in the middle of sixties TWIGGY and A SAILOR...

I hope you enjoyed this post and maybe even got a little sparkle of inspiration... :)
